dont bother with the adt ones as you wont own the equipment and thay can put the monitoring price up when thay please

not keen on the wireless ones either as thay can cause false alarms when the batterys go flat

get your self a proper wired alarm. you can get a Pyronix Sterling 10 installed for around the £300 mark or you can pick the kit up for around £110 and fit it your self

hay what do i know only been installing alarm for 5+ years and my brother has been an installer 20+ years

I have a yale one with full property monitoring etc

has smoke alarms built into the system, two flood alarms, wireless cameras that i can view over any internet connection, usual stuff on top too.

sends text messages/phone calls/emails to up to 6 people if triggered.

base unit cost about 400 when we got it, and we have about 250 worth of extra bits and bobs to cover the garage, sheads etc.

well worth it

yeh dont bother with the wirefree ones - they are crap. get a hard wired one and get a claxon bell fitted outside, you wont need a telephone call to tell you its gone off as you will hear the bell throughout the uk its that loud, thats what i have at home.

Sounds good to me, as I could monitor the cameras from work!

Give SmartGuard Alarms they cover your area and are pretty good and use a decent system.

Anyone had any experience with Texecom alarms? (www.texe.com)

I'm thinking about having the Premier 24 installed next month.
