Steve, look at the size of the front wheels on that R5...... They are like drag dohnuts....
GAZ is still on steelies with decent tyres...
Isn't nitrous cheating like a turbo is cheating?
What is cheating on a 1/4 mile? Isn't the idea to get your car from one end to the other as quick as possible????????
Track action i can understand as you can't use the nitrous all the time, but 1/4 mile?
Well, all i can say is, if top fuel 5000+bhp Dragsters use it, why can't it be used by someone trying to get the fastest 1/4 mile time form a corsa possible?
11.8 is not to be sniffed at. Should imagine that will come down yet as well!!!!

i respect a car that produces that kind of time using a turbo than a car that produces that kind of time using nos.
simply because the turbo is an integral part of the engineering of the engine, IMO gas cannot be classed as this
also turbos produce the power all the time, gas runs out, its a cheap, method of getting big power that only lasts as long as the bottle isnt empty

I always think of Nitrous as steriods for cars
so think its more impressive when someone gets big power without it

thats not a bad way of looking at it, a bodybuilder that uses steroids is never given as much respect as a bodybuilder that has worked hard to get the body naturally
