no pool self cleans the pump and filter help to clean the pool by pulling the suspended sendiment outta the water but grit/grass etc can either jam up the motor or lays on the bottom of the pool, u still have to chemicalise it though...

ok just as long as ya know because you would be surprised at how many people with above ground pools who think that theres no work/maintanance involved looks bigger than my garden
