Got a parking ticket today as i was late and couldnt get a space in the car park.
So i parked outside on the road. The whole area is split into zones where you can only park at certain times unless you have a permet.
So i picked a zone where i could stay til 10 then i would move it. Parked up and thought nothing of it until i came back to see a bloke writing a ticket 
I asked why and pointed at the sign that clearly stated that i could stay there. he then said that my front half was in another zone 
the line under the car was very faint and the sign warning of the other zone was five meters further down the road  . If i had been illegally parked fair enough but this seemed very unclear
anyway what added insult to injury was that 10 mins before i went to get something from my car and thought about moving it but didnt 
also when i origonally stopped i was not over the line but when i got out and looked i was close to somebodys driveway so i took off the handbrake and rolled it forwards a little 
Just goes to show i doesnt pay to be nice as moving forwards to make it easier for someone and been late because the person you were giving a lift to forgot to get up ends up in a fine
although he feels bad and offered to pay towards it 
I also felt obliged to use a good old MS paint scenario to explain

Thats life m8 have been done numerous times for not parking in marked bays etc. its all bullshit

Il prob just pay it as it goes up to £60 if not done within 14 days.

just drive away, if he hadnt actually put the ticket on the car he has not fully issued it. they have to take photos of the cars round here now with the ticket on to prove that the ticket was given.

I got a letter through today informing me that I have an unpiad parking fine from 6 months ago! I get parking fines all the time, as parking at uni is impossible! However, I know I didnt recieve this ticket as I would have paid it straight away over the phone!
Not much I can do to protest this is there?
