any advice appreciated.

if I have an accident today and my new insurance policy starts tomorrow (with same insurer) and claim is made tomorrow (accident reported to have occured today), which insurance policy would be used? the old one or new one?

the policy at the time of the crash, so the old one, IMO.

same thing happened with my dog and the excess was cheaper on new policy but it went on the one what was valid at time of claim
