I have a 93 citroen AX that failed its MOT and need to get rid of it!

yeah some do, not much though depends on scrappy however, think there is one near me that advertises like £50 + for MOT failures.

get on yell.com search for scrap yards in your area and give the a ring.

round me if they collect them they take them for 0 if u take it to them there will give u something for them depends on the car tho on how much

Loads of places are charging now as new regulations etc, they have to drain batteries/oils the lot.

I got all mine taken for free luckily but then again i gave them an omega v6 which they could make money off so a favour for a favour i spose

guy at local scrappy drains oil, etc.. gets £75 a car at the car crusher place (VRAG) i think makes a small fortune

said he can get 10-15 cars per week

usually you have to pay them.... but some people take it away for free which is great, never heard of them paying YOU for the car, for ages

after i had finished with the volvo and my failed drifting project they charged me £50, so we towed it there and left it outside with the keys

so lets say a corsa c 2004 reg is written off.. so owner makes an insurance claim and car is sent to scrappers. How much do the scrappers give the insuramce company for the car?

is it just 50 quid or something daft?

insurance companies wont just turn up at the local scrappy with a car to dump, they will have there own facilities at a guess or at least an agreement with 1 firm
