Think so, guy on Scoobynet takes his Porsche 944 Turbo and Clio Cup round and he regularly has a passenger.

i aked the guy in the ticket office, basicly he gave a proper crap excuse. he said that people watch vidoes on the internet of whatever cars going round and see that they take whatever corner at say 110mph. then they come out here in a crappy car and try and do the same, not realising that the vid they watched is a lotus exige thats done thousands of laps, and inevitbly they bin it.

he said tv programs like top gear and stuf that come and film hee have to have a special license and they have to show the final tape to the nurburgring and they have to ok it before it can be aired.

personally i think its for insurance reasons, they will have to have some sort of insurance, but by not allowing cameras if anyone does try and claim its a lot harder without evidence.

Yup, those reasons above...

PLus, if there is any accidents (like your biker one) and the car that hit him had a camera on bored and captured it all, well, its not very nice for either parties really....

Oh, 1 more....

In the UK your not allowed to overtake coming into corners, and "supposed" to only overtake on one side?

My old man went to Misano in Italy on his bike and the rules were totally different. Do what you want basically... Whats the rules with regards to the ring. Go how you want, if you hit anyone, your problem (or hit the barrier and cough up lots of euros)..?

theres some rough guidlines in the ticket office which are the same as in the uk, but they arnt really enforced. if theres someone really quick coming up behind you like the vtec ring mini or one of the m5 ring taxis, they just kinda go past wherever theres a space.

one lap i was on sibean came past me going into ardenau bridge and held a perfect slide all the way acorss the bridge all of about 3 feet infront of me. fucking awesome.

corsa is quicker out of the slower corners, clio is better at higher speeds. Corsa is better on the brakes in the dry, clio is better in the wet. nothing in it round the corners.

no, there is nothing in it between my mates 182 and MY Corsa. An XE corsa on crappy suspension and 2lt brakes would get spanked by the 182.

Interesting about the Clio at higher speeds? Take it the cars are just more stable through the corners?

agreed, but the 182 doesnt run a torsion bar im sure?

the clio really is fantastic considering its only mods are eibach springs, ferrodo pads, back end stripped and a blue flame exhaust.

Theres no limit on passengers either, we had 7 of us in the pajero when we did our 5 laps, tyre squal every corner, sideways with lots of bodyroll

the 5 laps in a Csr made up for it though

Reading this thread makes me want to go to the ring

I need to earn lots of money to get my car awesome.

Wish list -

Quaife ATB (LSD)
Gti 6 Brakes with decent discs and pads

Dream list
KMS Direct to head Throttle Bodies
KMS management

Dream list isn't going to happen because it'd cost me ANOTHER remap

but the wish list could happen before I go ringing.

do it paul, you will not want to come home

you can always tell the local cars as its some sort of VAG, sorted suspension, BBS wheels and fucking MASSIVE porsche brakes. saw a golf R32 with same wheels as on that csl i posted with proker 6 pots front, 4 pots rear, suitable huge discs and the callipers were yellow (yellow ones are ceramic btw)
