I have and always will stick with the 177bhp engine that is in the merivia.

But

If its anything like the Astra, an exhaust and re-map will see it the plus side of 200 with ease. If not more-like 210-220...

Im also sure Thorney MS will be testing this engine as well. Re-map and exhaust on the astra is seeing up to 285bhp (Never shows on a RR though due to engine temps).

Meriva is 1350kgs, its weight alone means it is slower than a Corsa with the same engine

200kg is not much of a difference between the current corsa, i would also say that the new corsa will be heavier as it look's bigger, more trim level etc etc, but can't really say anything at this point just have to wait and see, every week there is a thread about the corsa vxr, getting a bit silly now.

forgive me, the meriva 5 door 1.8 is 1305 not 1350 soooooooo? .

like it matters? upto VXR what they do, all this talk of it is all bullshit, they might not even stick the engine in from the VXR Meriva.

i know the car itself is coming, but what the spec will be noone knows at this current time, it's a clever way of vauxhall/vxr to get as much publicity as possible and it's working.

the corsa VXR will be overpriced and will have too high an insurance group which will instantly rule out the sort of people who it would appeal to imo
