Well it's 7 days before FCS and blacky had been sitting for nearly 4 months feeling sorrying for himself as I was dragging my feet sorting the new engine out (Bert). I had enough time to finish the engine or fit it. but not both. So Bob205 suplied his suplus engine to me (Alice) which was collect at last weeks Herts meet. Thanks bob

I went down the garage about 10 after mincing a bit to start to clear it out and collect the engine Crane.

Anthoy (the cavlary) arrived about 11ish and started to time up Alice staight away, while I continued to tidy and get ready to roll the car in.

The patient

We spared no time in ripping the fecked engine out and Anthony got to use his new balance bar toy

minutes later the bay was nice and empty

Then Sam and Travis (aka Rusty) arrived to lend a hand and bring food.

sam had been busy the day before lightening his Mi (that seat is rather familiar )

Then it was tome to pop the flywheel on to Alice, but no thread lock anywhere the horror, so we popped off to halfrauds to get some and grabbed a few KFC meals too to keep us going. Big thanks to Rusty for providing transport.

Then it was a question of swapping the gearbox on to alice

Rusty got stuck in to lend a hand

Sam bussied himself doing erm???? We're not sure what

Then enough mincing (sam was doing enough for all of use anyways ) And time for Alice and Blacky to be more intemately aquainted. (Plus Anthony got to play with with his new toy more)

Anthony and myself helping things along

And in and sitting happy, then a questoin of plumbing the coolant lines, shafts electrics and so on in place.

Again Rusty jumped at the chance to get dirty hands and sam ran away lol.

Then Sam and Rusty had to leave was it was getting late. Ant polished off the electrics, and I faffed with the coolant pipes. Eventually it was tight ring moment at the first turn of the key. She crnaked presure shot up, so plugs were added and she fired after three turns

So I backed her out under his own steam

And here's Alice nestled in her new home till Bert kicks her out

Then we got chinese as we were starving at this point, and when we returned to sort the picasso of tools out on the floor I could resist I was driving blacky home. Dead chuffed going to take him out for his 30mile ring bedding sesh and try and ger 200ish miles on him tomorrow.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Anthony as without his help I'd be about 3 days behind where I am now, bottle of vodka has you name on it at Retro cars

Also to Sam and Rusty who helped too and made this less dull.

Running it in for the next 1000miles then I can open it up. It's fast enough that I don't think I need more power just yet that's for sure. (well apart from this engine being more powerful than the last Mi that was in it lol)
