His cell mate helped him get to the garage where the warden from the other prisons car was parked. Two guards came, one was knocked out and he took his uniform and one was trapped under a car that was jacked up. He escaped in the car wearing one of the guards uniforms. His cell mate gave him a bag too presubably full of money and fake passport etc.
I think it was a true story as the end credits said the prison has now been closed down.
