been looking for a new car for the missus. she likes the corsa c sri and we just had a very good insurance quote on one so im on the hunt for a good one.

what should I be looking for? i know the obvious things but any common problems to look out for?

general opinions on the car?

my mrs has the 1.4 sri faily nippy for what it is seems faster on pickup than my sport

looked at the 1.4 sri but its only an extra £50 to insure the 1.8.

gear lingage is quite common, squeeking of brakes if your reversing. general rattles and clunking noises. Steering rack, has it had the recall for the abs?

cant think of anything else, check the usual. Have heard of some having white stuff under the oil cap, but check tyres etc. Make sure its not been ragged by some scrotty 19 year old. If its on around 15k miles should still have the original wheels.
