Right...
Saw a rover 200 today on a Q plate and theres some things i wanna know about Q plate cars:
Does this mean it was once written off and now brought back for road use? What other reasons can there be?
How can you tell the age of the car?
Does it HAVE to be Q plate forever now, not even on private plates?

it may have been put together in restoration by major parts from other cars of the same model.
thinks it cos if anything was to happen it would be registered to have those parts instead of looking suspicious?

Means over a certain % of the car has been replaced & once its on a Q its always on a Q!!

My Dads Caterham was a Q Plate - it also means kitcars

Does that only apply for caterams that are bought as kits and built by the customers? Some have regular number plates

car will get a Q plate if the age of major parts of the car cant be proved. e.g engine, chassis, drive train.
