Wicked
Always wanted a Vitesse. Such a proper car. Would have a silver or black one though.
However, this bloke is either lying, because the car is a C reg, and the twin plenum cars were all on E plates as they were the last 200 cars made and were all homologation specials with assitance from Lotus.
Or he has (for whatever reason) put a C plate on a genuine twin plenum car, and then ruined it aswell, and should therefore be shot... slowly.

450 SEAC
When I was about 16, the fella that owned a shoe shop in my local high street had a brand new one in red with black hood and black leather and split rims.
That was a serious car. He used to work late and then fire the TVR up in the alley next to the shop as late as 9 or 10 at night when the high street was deserted.
He'd back it out slowly onto the road, and then nail it all the way down the high street.
The sound was almost indescribable (a bit like satan being raped by a Tyranosaurus Rex), and would reverberate all over the place, and then carry on the air for bloody ages after the car had dissappeared.
Have wanted a TVR ever since then.

Tools required for job:
1) Large caliber bullet (decommissioned)
2) Lump hammer
3) Suitable punch or drift
Locate suitable target on offender and apply tip of bullet to skin. Line punch/drift up with base of shell and begin applying slow and repeated blunt force to afforementioned punch/drift until bullet penetrates flesh etc, and is submerged in offender.
Cruel, yet effective.

He did , you'd hear it gurgling and grumbling/growling like a lycanthrope for some time in the alleyway before it would creep slowly backwards out of the shadows and onto the road.
In fact, on one particularly cold and windy November night, my girlfriend had the right hump briefly because I slowed my pace to a crawl and eventually stopped walking completely, while waiting for the car to make it's appearance.
Her complaints soon changed to silent confusion when I said ''Ssshh, wait, and listen''
I'd just seen the fella leave the shop with his paperwork under his arm and knew what was coming next.
I managed to get her to stop right near the mouth of the muse/alley just before he started it. You should have seen her jump when it started up.
Her uncle had a red E-Type, and she was quite a car fan for a 16 year old girl.
Her face was a picture when the TVR emerged from the darkness, and even more so when the driver did his special drive-home launch with accompanying soundtrack.
Needless to say, she didn't mind stopping there after that.

The problem with the rover v8 is the sheer cost of tuning them, and when you do, you still dont get what you should do! 100hp/l fords and chevys are common, tell me the last time you saw a rover engine make that power!
In standard form they are nice light compact engines ideal for transplant, but produce 155hp unless you get one of the later larger ones from a tvr etc.
Given the relative ease with which the smallblock ford bolts into the capri, and the small difference in weight, thats the way Id go every time.
std v8s sounds gash anyway, std engine in a discovery anyone??
if youre going to tune it buy a ford/chevy.

Would have to be an e39 M5 engine for a V8 I think, just a bit mental not as dirty sounding as a SU lump, but revs' better
