Magenta was one of my original considerations Rob, but after hearing from a mate who was a Ford bodyshop man, about the problems with ageing etc, I decided that I had enough other favourite colours to choose from, i.e. Moonstone, Moonsdust Silver, Diamond white, black, Graphite grey or Ebony black.

  LMFAO Brilliant Adam
That said, however...
Apart from road tax, insurance and lots of petrol, about the only thing I ever have to buy for it is a new gearbox every three thousand miles or so , and that involves me taking my wrecked unit to a box builders and saying, ''Can I have another one of these please, only without all the bits of broken metal that are falling out of this one. Oh, and can you rescue my diff from inside all the carnage too please?''
I did need a battery a while back, but just measured the old one and asked my local Bosch dealer for the most powerfull unit he had in that size with Ford terminals.
Same thing when my starter motor packed up.
Mine is a Cosworth Sierra unit, so I took it in to the same place and got him to match it, only with a unit of higher torque output.

Mate had a Caspian blue RS 1600i at college.
Nice car but didn't deserve the hallowed badging.
He put 'eal' and 'low' decals after the 'R' and 'S' lettering it had in the quarter windows.
