Errrr no advise, just treat it like a normal interview I guess and give a good account of yourself..

Oh and when you shake hands make it a nice strong firm handshake, gives a instant impression of yourself that you are standing tall in stature and you are a confident person, rather than a shrinking violet and a bag of nerves.

I never want to go through that again  seemed to go ok though! hear back in a couple of weeks if im successful, then medical, and criminal record checks, police driving test and if im successful on all those, i start my 5 week training!

5 weeks? Thought Basic training was 12 - 16 weeks

only asked 8 questions and i was in just over half an hour! started off things like what qualities would i bring to the role etc etc, then started with the situational questions and hwo id react. nly had hour and half sleep last night with worrying, now gota go to work, then 250 mile drive to milton keynes

she just said it was 5, then they stick you on probation for 6 month where you still undergo the odd trainging day etc

In newcastle its not as long, because if you already live there you are used to abuse, violence, and crime on a daily basis, thus you are already hard and dont need much training.

5 weeks training, 6 month probation. Probably different up north but round here its 12 - 16 weeks training, then on prob. for 1 - 2 years
Im sure there are a few coppers on the site, would be interesting to know if it varies from place to place!
