Darren had a superb start to the season but his form has dipped so much of late.
He needs a full 90 minutes to be able to show what hes got for england.
Rooney is just a looney and we need someone like him to scare zee germans.
Walcot has no experience of top flight/international football.
This could be a good thing as hes unknown, i think that starting with Bent and then walcott being subbed on is the best idea.
Hes got a name to make and especially for english football.
Carrick has to be in the squad in my eyes

When Owen started against Argentina nobody knew anything about him, a 17 year old nobody that had played a handful of games for Liverpool, look what he went on to do. Walcott could do the same.
I'd deffo take him, and I have a sneaky suspicion that Sven will.

Owen had played more than a handful of games for Liverpool and had scored a fair few goals for the first team.
Im not saying Walcott cant and wouldnt do it, but why take the risk on a 17yr old with ZERO experience at the highest level when there are others out there who could do as good a job currently.
ALSO...if Wenger is so confident in the lad, and pushing for him to go to the World Cup why hasnt he been playing him this season?

Bent I'm sorry now to have to admit it and if he plays thats £400,000 quid extra for Ipswich, but I just don't think hes good enough, prove me wrong.

A bit of Owen history...
Played his debut game in May 1997 against Wimbledon coming on as a sub and scored, he was 17 and 5 months.
After an injury to Fowler he became a first team regular in the 1997/98 season and finished joint top scorer in the league with 18 goals (equal with Dion Dublin and Chris Sutton). He was also named the PFA Young Player of the Year.
Then in the 1998 World Cup he scored that goal against Argentina.
So he had played a whole season for Liverpool before he went to the world cup.

Im not so sure. He has worked with that England set-up for years and dont think he'll have the bottle to change things...like drop Beckham and give Gerrard the captins armband!!
There is no way he will get the armband over terry.

He would if Mc has any sense!
He is one of two players in that team who could single handedly change a game (along with Rooney), and when he does so he is an inspiration to the other players on the pitch. Just look at what he does for Liverpool in certain games.
Terry would make a good captain, not going to dispute that. But when it comes to leading the players and being an inspiration when the games going tough Gerrard wins that hands down!

Walcott hasnt played yet as i feel Wneger and him want to do it when he feels ready. Hes training with henry, van persie, reyes etc so is learning with the best.
He will play next season and will score in his first game!
Thats my prediction!

personally dont see why we dont take walcott, stick him in the deep end, rooney was world class at 16 so why cant walcott. if he lacks world class experience there here is his oppatunity.
