I used to like this guy but the last few seasons some of his comments have been an absolute joke.
He is now saying that he wants to take legal action against the Sunderland player who broke Diaby's ankle. Now I know it was a really bad tackle, and deserves an extended ban like other players have had in the past. But if everyone starts to threaten legal action if a tackle is mistimed or whatever then its going to end up being a game with no tackles at all as they'll be too scared to.
Rant over.

Luigi.
I didn't see it either, what I do know is that whatever the other manager says is all lies

I agree on some tackles being taken to law
If it was part of the game, he proves it and fair enough
Roy Keane tackle on Alf-Inge Haaland wasn't part of the game...

I have always rated Wenger as one of the top managers, but over the last few months he has showed some lack of composure and its frankly embarrasing himself at the moment tbh. Great manager but turning into a prick.

I think 2 footed tackles (ie those tackles that carry a large chance of ending someone's career) should be looked at more carefully. Perhaps not by court but by the FA.
Anyone caught 2 footing someone should be banned for 5 games automatically.

Court and caught
It can't be a proper legal thing or it'll ruin the game, agree with dave's point about 5 match automatic ban and should be investegated in really bad isntances by the fA

5 matches is a long time, I think players will think twice before lunging in with bad tackles.
Also, I think a lot of refs are scared of giving players automatic reds for 2 footed tackles, some do and some don't. They need more backing by the FA so they can dish them out without remorse.

3 matches and 3 weeks wages for any straight red - extended to 5 weeks is better imo
