Im sure they can? Our nextdoor neighbour had a tracker installed + the lights converted to be normal at the same tiem

not sure how to do it on uk spec..
on U.S spec etc it is easy flick of a few knobs..
I would prefer them to be off...must be a wire to cut or something, dunno where though and a few volvo forums didn't know either

aye it's a problem 
It is annoying though because you can't park up with engine running without having lights on...

my Dad has a V70 T5 and his never come on automatically. Always switches them on and off, even sidelights.
Although his is an ex-prison service car, so maybe HMP sorted it out?

I think it can be sorted by changing some settings in the ECU, some fella at work had it done

My Dads got an 850 AWD, and he can turn the lights off. And also when we had a courtesy S40 we could turn the lights off on this as well And thats fact

what year were these volvos that you could turn the DRL's off, i bet they were all phase 2's......post 2000...mine is phase 1...and i can't do it....fact
