Ayup forumers and ebayers! I would like a lil bit of advice as my brother has been done over a lil(in my opinion) and I would like to know how people have got on regarding complaints and if they get anything back.

My brother purchased a GTO twin turbo(whole car) listed as having whole engine rebuild, would not start one day, tried changing plugs and rounded one off so lost temper and sold on ebay...
...get the car home, after the bloke had no reciepts but assured him of the work as listed, start to try taking plug out, after removing cambelt cover part the belt is loose, find the one piston on the one head is completely smashed, has scored the block and made a mess,it has obviously been run like it for some time.

That is scenario number 1,number 2 is:-

Bidding on engine for GTO twin turbo on ebay...win auction from a certain breaker,he wins, it has a weeks garantee,so he brings the whole lump back and it rattles :S so off comes the sump and reveals a snapped off and bent conrod, which has bits of metal in all the cylinders...nice eh? The engine was listed as spares or repair, which is a kind of get out clause...and this is where I would like some advice as the car is his dream(has been since 14...hes now 23...)

Complain to seller of car and ebay as item listed falsely and seek at least some of the cash(seller offered him it for 1150..but as soon as he showed interest,i believe he let auction run and got him bidding with someone upping the bids to screw as much as poss out of him...no proof but still fishy)

On the engine note...would it be worth myself emailing asking about and engine and what the 7day garantee constitutes? any information would be great, I know it is not mini related but I am quite close to the fella, and hes my main man at rebuilding my mechanical components and i dont like seeing him down =(
