rite this is our collection of fords hope you like ,most will probs hate though.
A mk6escort 1.6 16v originally then went to a 2l now its booked in to get 400bhp zetec turbo and 4wd conversion 
then we have our run around a escort mk5 rs2000, this will be staying as it is as its just our run around
then we have the saff cossie 220bhp atm but it will be tuned to around 300ish soon
also i am picking up a white 3 door 1.3 escort on saturday to use as a track car , fully stripped, seam welded, cage buckets 330bhp engine and a 6 speed sequensial (sp) front wheel drive gear box
only have this pic of it atm
and next year were buying an esort cossie

I'm keeping schtum on the burgundy thing, except to say, there is only one car there that should be getting 400 horsepower, and only one that would cope with it, and it's not that one.
Incidentally, the XR4x4 box won't cope with 400 bhp, they loose the plot at around the 270 mark.
As for the blue atrocity/blasphemy, i'd drop a skip full of rubble on it until the RS2000 badge fell off.
I apply this rule to any FWD car that wears an Escort badge, and particularly an RS badge, this is why my Turbo doesn't wear either.

that 1st escort  i wouldnt bother putting 400bhp zetec turbo and 4wd conversion on it, as it will still be shit. would be better putting that into the white escort.
or better still, save the money and buy a corsa

hes lookign into diff gearboxes as the standard xr4x4 box is shit but hte floor pan etc will be off a xr4x4

only xr 4x4 Im aware of is the sierra,which was a longditudinally mounted engine? If so youre basically looking at swapping the whole floorpan, which will cost you more than an escos!
