will blocking off the ecotec bugger up the car,
as i have done it by blocking the valve at the back with a gasket and just removed the pump, the bit at the front on the manafold is still there for now.
i have a problem as when i drive for a few minutes the engine management light will come on then if i dip the clutch it will cut out.
if i put it back i gear it will bump start and the light will go out and then come on about 2 min later...
it will sit at idle fine and rev and there is no management at all until i drive it
anyone got a clue??

The EGR valve? Keep it connected to the loom.

yes it is the egr valve that i blocked offbut it was alright it has only recently started playing up, it had done 500ish miles before this started to happen

AFAIK if the actual valve is still connected it won't show a fault.
Maybe there is an underlying problem. Have you done the paperclip test?

19 and 24 may be because the car is not running, 56 has got to be EGR related 92 is a mystery.

im sure ihad one off a 1.2 8v somwhere
