Video real
Engine noise real
Tyre screeching fake

I know, it just doesn't quite tie up with what you're seeing on that video though.
Least it's not like World's Wildest Police Videos when they insert tyre noise at every opportunity, i.e. car parking - screeeeeeeeech.

am I the only one that got bored after about 2 mins?
It sounded like he was moving quick, but then you see him pass a car that looks like its doing about 40-50 mph, and he looks like he's only passed it maybe 20-30 mph quicker?
same way also he's going flat out down the straights and then turning into a corner, but the car doesn't sound like it slows down much - but it doesn't look like its doing 140 mph either.
I agree the sounds don't match the footage that well. tyre screaching definately seemed a bit - and engine noise though sounding fantastic didn't seem to match it 100%

imo, this cannot be compared to a chove in a saxo racing down the backstreets of some council estate
the driver shows skill in most places- hazard perception may be criticised at times however.
the fact is, the driver was either incredibly talented and brave- or just downright idiotic and egocentric
i believe the driver wouldnt have performed such an act of driving upon film, if he wasnt confident in his ability to perform it without fatality
the noise of the engine, the excitiement and adrenalin, the beautiful streets of france- but most importantly, the fact that somebody actually went out there and did it, makes it a great film in my eyes
thats my 2p worth anyway..
Beautifully put Matty.
I am bowing and dothing my cap as I type.

I bloody knew it was another French chappie who's name was escaping my brain. (I had been up all night and not slept a wink when I was trying to remember his name)
Well done mate, that's been bugging me since Sunday.
