Depends........... your still gonna have to change the tyre even if you do get a puncture

yeah they work well bit noisy though.also i think you need rims that are designed for rft tyres

Is there much point with say 205/40/17 sized tyres?

Paul, they will go on any rim, but the valves have to have a pressure sensor in them so you know they are flat
4 major problems with them
1. the make the ride hard and are very noisy
2. they are about 93 times more expensive than the equivilant normal tyre
3. they dont seal on the rim properly, so they go flat slowly, even on new wheels
and 4, which is a big one.
They need replacing if they have been "run flat" the same as a normal tyre, and you cannot repair a puncture in them, according to the manfacturers
so in short Sam, not worth the rubber they are made of

Surely you dont get THAT many punctures?? Id buy a tire or its ability to grip / perform or its cheapness.....not that it can run flat

runflat tyres are oly handy on getaway vehicles IMO

even though they go flat and rip themselves apart after about 50 miles

Just wondered if there was any point in buying them.
Think I'll just stick with normal tyres methinks!
