I'm halfway through my policy , so i've got 3 and a half years no claims.
If I buy a new car, and I change insurer now, will I still keep that half year bonus I've gained?
Thanks, hope I've made it clear what i mean!

Don't think so, I think it only works for full years.

No they will generally only award you the last full year.

best off insuring with them again, on the new car, and keeping your NCB

Cheers, so I'd be better off waiting 6 months to change cars I guess.
Thanks.

Yer Norwich Union (who I'm with at the moment) won't quote me on cars above group 13 until I'm 21 for some reason.

Right cheers guys, one more question. I want my Norwich Union policy to be kept on until september so i get an extra years no claims. I'll have sold my car by then and will be insuring my car with a different company cos norwich union won't cover me!
So is it possible to keep my Norwich Union policy on until September even though i don't have the car? Can i be insured on nothing so to speak?

Just leave the policy running unless anybody says anything about it.
I've had a policy running on a car thats been sold to get to the end of the policy for no claims and didn't have any problems.

Yer that's what im hoping to do. It's not like the insurance company should care - no risk to them - cos I can't possibly make a claim for a car i don't have!
