Pictures are working again, but can veiw all of them at philsnell.fotki.com
Well all i can say was it was amazing!! So much fun!
Me and two mates drove all the way from southampton to go to donny for the day! They both have clio 182s, ones a trophy the other is just a normal 182. I kinda felt left out cos of how quick those things were!!
The day started at the petrol station, checking tyre pressures!

When we got there gave me a chance to get a couple of pictures of the cars
Mine

My mates 182

Other mates Trophy

I then managed to blag a few laps with in the instructors car!! Massive smile on my face the hole way round, and was really good to learn all the correct lines!
Instructors Car!!!

Few pics of us on track

Some other random cars, was quite a mix!

And what not to do in less than 10 minutes in your vx220 turbo that you have only had for 2 weeks!

Was a fantastic day, only came close to loosing it once as i went too quick into a blind corner, lifted off! Which is the worse thing you can do, as the back end goes tall happy! Managed to catch it tho!!

The clios are cool, i got to round in them as a passenger and everything like the brakes and initial turning in are so much better than on my corsa!
Trackday insurance is about 70 quid for the day, so not cheap but worth it as you dont have to worry!

whoops! There were a few other spins, but no crashes.
A Pug 205 spun out in front of my mate and he had to slam on the brakes to avoid missing him, probably the nearest crash any of us had!

Bet the VX driver was gutted. How did the corsa fair up? What were the lap times like compared to the Clios?

didnt manage to do any timing, but they were a lot quicker, down the straights and round the corners. i only managed 105 on the speedo down the straight, they were up to 115.
Round the corners they are just so much better.
Mines the 1.8 but it was still lacking the power and grunt to pull it outta the corners, handled great on the coilovers although it did rub a bit.
I really need to upgrade the brakes tho, as they were rubbish after the first 10 laps! Black diamond here i come, plus braided hoses.

I was in the novice section, with evo's and caterhams!!! So it was kinda slow compared to those. I did overtake a s2000 and a mini cooper s and the citreon saxo that was there!

Looks good mate.
I drove donnington a few times now, very tricky circuit to get right. In the locorage i was on the pace with other 7 style cars, the ultima i was way off as the power was a job to get down without heading sideways!

lol, yeah i found i could be quicker through some corners over other more powerful corners because my line was better, then got onto the straight and they were gone!
