don't wear watches much but i have a fossil one for best, i like Dna's tag but can't see myself paying over 200 quid for a watch.

I know this has been done before but the last time nothing took my fancy.

Any ideas gents/ladies?

Pics would be appreciated...plastic is a no no btw

I have a nice Gold and Steel Tag Heuer Jules.

Cost a grand in '93 so never wear it to work.

In fact never wear a watch to work at all, as would get in the way, and get dirty and damaged, and i don't want to know the time at work.

Sorry, I haven't been much help have I.

Can deffo highly recommend the Tag though. Lovely watch and will bear the knocks and water, just a pricey way to do it.

Well,

Was out having a late lunch this avvo and spotted a bloke wearing a nice looking watch.

Later I decided to bite the bullet...intoduced myself and complimented him on it. Turns out the bloke was french, and a real nice chap. Given I didn't know the bloke from Adam I didn't ask him how many ££££ he paid for it (looked very quality) and i was thinking it would be at least a couple of £k

just found it on the 'web

Taken from here:-

People pay upto £500 for an everyday watch?! My 'nice' watch didn't even cost (half) that!
My everyday watch a $50 Guess Waterpro, had it for years.

Yup

Marc...funnily enough, in the same queue me and the missus spotted another nice watch...twas a yellow affair with black bits...looked great and was a seiko. Dont think it was one of the kinetic range though, ive had a few seikos in the past, back then they were the dogs danglies of watches.

They seem to be unfashionable now though

Ive got a Seiko Kinetic, its the best watch ive owned to date. I max at £300ish for a watch no more...wear it for everything work, sport, out & dont care too much if it gets broke & usually they only last a year or so

I have my grandads solid gold watch for those special occasions

Got few watches, Arnette job for everyday use, another one which is similar and a high end Tag for nice occasions etc Personally save a bit more than £500 and buy a Tag or something, most watches under £500 are pretty shit and use Chinky mechanisms etc. I wouldn't spend more than £80 or so on a 'cheap' watch cause it won't last.
