Today i fitted my Samco airbox hose (cos i'm a slag!! ) Upon removing the original hose i saw that a pipe went in to it. This meant i would either have to drill in to the Samco, no way!! or remove the Carbon Canistor that the pipe came from,. These fumes go in to the engine, and isnt really needed. I then had to reroute the hoses that went in to it. I didnt have enough T pieces, but did have my Green Breather Filter, that i've never found a home for! Mainly because, as its a flat four arrangement what ever i do to one side of the block has to be done to the other. I decided to use it in the rerouting of these pipes. Its a rough mock up at the moment until i can get another small tee piece. As i'm sure this is quite restictive! It will still work as a breather but it will be venting the carbon fumes and not the oil fumes.

The carbon canistor was quite bulky with all the pipes coming from it, it sat where the breather now is.

Anyway, token pictures:

Well it's coming from the pipes that the carbon canistor was originally attached to. So, in this set up it isnt venting oils fumes.

Just been for a drive, and it's either my imagination or theres definatley an increase in sound., Probably my imagination! Sounds good though! Turns out i did rig the breather filter up correctly to vent engine fumes, as when i got back and lifted the bonnet it stunk of petrol!
