I'm breaking my brothers old 1.0 12v engine... and would like to keep a piston as a paper wieght!!
I have removed the piston/conrod, but cannot get the gudgeon pin out to seperate them... is a special tool required, or just a good ol whack with a lump hammer?
Please can someone help before I break out the grinder

Is the circlip seated in the conrod itself? As the pin seems to be free in the piston, but stationary in the rod...
Will try a small screwwy in the meantime, cheers!

if they dont have cerclips at each end they need heating up then pushing out. heat them with a blow torch the get a hammer andlarge chisel or a press.
