No...I mean what type is the one in the pics...is it just a bog standard Tarantula??

It could do with colour coding and 40mm drop. Apart from that it looks quite cool!

I've got Chilean Rose - shes about 17 now and had her for 10 years - they live to 21

Also on the hair issue - almost all spiders have theability to fire hair from their abdomen - and each hair is barbed

I found this comment funny!

My tarantula has just died

I don't see why everyone is so scared of them.....Thye are ina tank...a solid tank...

You can also have their fangs removed

[Edited on 05-04-2006 by Jamescorsa97]

no you fucking cant - no wonder your died - its the only way they can eat you retard

They bite their prey, injecti t with venom which liquifies the insides of said prey, they quickly wrap it in silk whilst the liquification takes place then suck the "soup" back through their fangs

Beardy first time it sheds is amazing, you literally could sit and watch it for the full 8 hours- its really strange, but fascinating - same with watching them eat

My only issue is that the red tank lights on all the time at the minute keeping it upto temperature and its in my bedroom - its like sleeping in a brothel

Beardy make sure you don't spray Deodrants of Polish in the same room as the spider and if you have to polish - put it on the cloth instead of spraying it onto a surface, also you need to keep the temperature at a constant 75 degrees Farenheit and a 70% humidity level
otherwise they cant breathe properly
