Sorry mate never properly looked,
But in the case of the two windows being there , there should be one long lintel , and cripple studs which I doubt is ever going to budge due to the removal of one dwang ....

I doubt it mate, for that sort of span you would be looking at a RSC with a bottom flange (like you would see over a garage door)

I reckon the pics show some hybred wall type to meet the scots building regs tbh. If its an internal stud behind a cavity wall its a tad silly imo, far better ways of doing it

It is not a timber house!!!
Its a 100+yr old converted warehouse/bondhouse. The brick/stone walls are thick....
That cross beam may have played a part holding the beams at the windows (internal side)... BUT removing part of one, and fitting two..... Makes it stronger!

ak what bracket u using for the tv?
i got the same one but havent found a decent enought bracket that doesnt stick the tv out more than like 10 inches from the wall.

it does stick out a fair bit... hold on
the front of the TV is 7" from the wall.

see i didnt like the choclate brown in my room that started with so went to a fresh apple green and some light maple wood, looks quite nice 
but look gd ak but yes pls run cable behind the wall, some thing i have to do i think if i can lol
