Being such a simpleton I just look at BHP and 115bhp doesnt sound great to me. I couldn't really give a shit what it could beat after what work has been done to it.

its a fecking 20+ year old engine made for fuel economy on sedans. the SEH is the performance version, and until you have driven a car equipped with one, dont comment. good strong torque across the range and a nice power curve. even in the heavy-ish Cavalier, it was a storming performer.

my dad had an SRi Cav with the SEH engine. i always remember it being fecking quick when i was 12 years old still his favourite car too. well until he puts his order in for a VZ L76 Commodore

Seen as though we are on that subject my Dad used to have an SRi 130 Cav too. Had it tuned on a rolling road my Dave Metcalfe (rally driver that would of been up there with the best now if he hadn't died in a car accident ) It wasn't a bad car but his Cally XE was miles quicker
