might sound daft, but does HPI checks show all accident histories that have been repaired by insurance companies

or does it only show up if the cars been written off?

ie my car has been repaired by insurance tiwce, but both non write offs, will it show up on HPI?

ur car wont show up on the hpi register,as it wasnt declared a write off.

it will only show up on the hpi register if the insurance company write it off

as in cat c,d etc..

yes if it was declared.
an accident damaged car can be hpi clear if the accident was never registered.

things like outstanding finance show up on it though which i think is what hpi means.
hire purchase identifier or something?
