i would but 1 tyre has a nail/screw in and needs fixing (hopefully, as its almost new), and another rim isnt sealing properly on the rim, so taking that to a wheel repair place for an opinion/quote

ok, poorly rim sorted thanks to big soft faced mallet, deduced from this exercise that the supposedly good tyre has a hole in it right on the corner

so now i need to buy 2, maybe 3 new tyres AND a 4th rim

so far im looking at £400 for the set, although that would be with 4 brand new tyres

That sounds depressing but another way to look at it is that you've saved money by not buying new from vaux.

i know. but i will still have 3 rims that arent in as new condition

but i will have them refurbed at some point im sure
