its been said before, but getting rid of the gut is something like 60% nutrition. crunches are the most effective way of toning up the abs, however they will not do the lower abs, weight loss will get rid of this part, as the majority of people will already have the muscle, but seeing as this is were fat tends to build up easiest, you wont see it unless you loose some weight.

what ive started to do is eat more meals, regulary, but make them smaller portions.
drink alot more water also, replace coke with diet coke.
basically anything that has alot of sugar in needs to be replaced if your not that active.
however if you are quite active then ignore what ive just said

good excercise is to lie on your back with your hands to you side flat on the floor, and keeping legs together raise them straight to a 45 degree, hold then drop, and repeat doing that.

yup mate got that one on the routine already

2. The leg raise

* These work the same muscles as the stomach crunch, but concentrate more on the lower half.
* Lie on your back and, with your legs straight out in front of you, lift them slowly, a few inches from the ground, whilst tensing your abdomen. Hold it and then lower slowly.
* Variations involve moving your legs around slowly in circles, just holding them out or doing raises at an angle on a bench or, for the very advanced, while hanging from a chin up bar raising them to 90 degrees (Ouch!).

Stop thinking about ab exercises, thats a waste of time if you havea beer belly. Just get some cardio exercise. Go jogging, cycling, swimming etc. And cut the crap out of your diet.

developing the abs will just make you appear fater, as the muscle will get bigger but there will still be a thick layer of fat ontop of them.

as above burn the fat off first/aswell

if your serious about losing weight u need to be very strict or you dont see much of a diference.

eat 5-6 small meals a day to raise motabalism (spelling).

eat healthy, tuna, chicken breast, oatmeal, eggs, veggies.

and keep the carbs low, wholeweat pasta/bread, brown rice (eat in moderation though)

if your serious about losing weight you have to get your diet in check it a simple as that, and that does meen being focused and having strong will power.

cut out all fizzy drinks, get plenty of water down you and as some one else said fruit aint the best idea as its full of sugar, stick with veggies for snackes carrots ect.

and excersise 3 - 4 times a week, do a hard session of cardio, e.g running or swimming make sure its around 40 mins also.

and stay away from the beer, do not cheat on your diet also.

n yeah like they said forget about ab excersises for now, wait til you lower your body fat then start doing weights to tone up in a few month.

n remeber it takes a long time to get the body you want it wont happen over night, so dont get de-motivated and break your diet.

fizzy drinks are ok actually ive found, diet coke or lemonade though, i will usually have a small glass before a 20 minute run, just for that boost of energy.

ive also read up that before doing any weights etc, have an intense 10minute run to get your heart rate up, that way you can keep topping up each half hour, your body will continously be burning off fat while you work out.
im still trying this out but ive found so far its working ok

mer ive found when reading things with regards to excersise/bodybuilding online people tend to over complicate things.

its pretty simple to lose weight burn more calories than you take in, and to gain weight consume more calories than you expell.

true to a certain extent yes, try to have a low level of circulation sugars and lipids to increase fat burning. either buy diet or a hard run before hand

hunger is not always an indication as to when your body needs fuel.
