Now this is a lesson on why you shouldn't loose your passport.
No one in Brum could countersign ny aplication and photo, so I had to drive 100 miles home to see if my old boss could sign it, he didn't know his passport number. I then had to drive to my Dad's work. Got it signed by one of the people who works for him, then drive 100 miles to Peterborough, then get the Passport ordered. That too 10 mins!! Then I had to drive all the way back to brum which was another 80-90 miles.
Never loose your passport a week before you are going on holiday... I am also £100 down

My mates passport had expired and the day we went on holiday last year he looked at it and found it was out of date.
A trip to peterborgh (sp), £80 less and a later flight during the day (think he missed about 5 hrs and he was back with us
dont loose your passport or check it regulary!!

i did this! got to Manchester airport at 7 in the morning, went to check in and my passport had expired, had a trip to Liverpool got there for opening, got a 4 hour emergancy jobby so had to wait around for 4 hours, then had to get a new flight, ending up getting one form east midlands so had to drive down there. Luckily my mum was there to foot the bill, she only did it as i think my girlfriend would have actually killed me if we had not gone. They were only going to drop us off at the airport, good job they came in.
