right i might need a new engine so i am thinking of getting a 1.6 sport engine and rebuild it up to a 1.7.

if you have a 1.6 engine for sale can you let me know!!

dont think the 1.6 block will go to 1.7

pointless anyway, the 1.6 can get 200+ bhp squeezed from it.

the 1.6 will go to 1.8 2mm oversized pistons though

Yeah, the 1.6 can be bored out to a 1.8 (EXACTLY the same bottom end as used in the most recent Corsa C 1.8 16V SRi). Standard piston size is 79mm bore. Need to use 81mm oversized pistons. (If you wanyt a set of these, give me a shout as sell forged performance pistons among many other things). Cheers.
