how do you get to them? i want to disconnect them, they are struggling to keep up with my new speakers, resulting with them sounding like they have a bumble bee inside them.

think you have to take all that plastic trim off - I just took off the panel for changing tail lights and cut the wires to them (I checked which wires were for the speakers by taking the CD player out and noting the colours of the speaker cables)
How are you're 6x9's connected?

fair play lol - if you take off the panels where you replace the tail lights, theres should be two wires heading up towards where the speakers are (might be tucked away behind the trim) - just give em a snip and tape up the ends
I think they are green and black on the passenger, cant remember the drivers side
