unichip if on a budget and not wanting to go to TB's later.

If your aiming for TB's in the future get a standalone mappable ECU like DTA/MBE/Emerald etc

DO NOT consider an off the shelf 'chip'

unichip will give good results, and also around £450 mark...

avoid superchips

full management may not be worth it on the engine though tbh, unless your planning on upgrading to tb's at a later date, but you will probably need to change the loom when you do

chipping n/a cars generally gives you little gain, the way they map them is by attaching a little ear piec and listening to the engine, they then advance the timing until they hear pre ignition pinking they notch is back a little, trouble is manufactures have already got it pretty much as far as it can go for best efficiency and economy.

Put TB's on though and you can take advantage of increasing the fueling slighty.

Like adm said you would be best with a mappable ecu then.

I personally wouldnt bother unless you had some uprated cams

remapping the x16xe ecu after an inlet has been fitted is very worthwhile.
