as above, ANY GENERAL advice on good points to put on appreciated. and any points to put on the cover letter especially since its for a service technician, mechanic apprenticeship. Ive put all the obvious exam results, partime jobs, etc and what theyve actually taught me as far as qualities, but thought u guys might kno if there are any qualities in particular they look for. i kno its a vague post, but really any replies are welcome.

don't put a big list of exam results, condense it down, you don't want these to draw the attention, the attention should be to the most relevent information that links to the job, i'e read the person spec then write some stuff in your cv and make that stand out.
Each CV should be specific to each job, not just a generic cv handed all over the place.
There should be some good sites on the net with advise, make sure you look at the right ones, find ones aimed at uni leavers etc so you get a good quality one, not just a school leavers cv if you get what i mean.
