Since my last renewal, i got 3 points for driving 9mph over the limit on a dual carrigeway.

I was just wondering what the implications might be if i kept it quiet. just wondering if anyone else has done this or not?

there would be no point, no one cares about 3 points anymore, made a massive difference of £0 for me.

Could invalidate your insurance if you ever had to claim, i wouldnt keep it quiet TBH.

Most insurance companies are aware of your points before you advise them...

On my renewal They already had details about mine...

Side point - How long do they last for?? 3 years isnt it?? Got 3 points for a TS10 2.5 years ago...should be off soon...

How long do points get taken to be put on? if your driving licence has been sent away?

any points that are issued go straight onto ur licence even before u have sent off to have them put on ur paper copy
dvla allready have them on there computer as soon as the police/courts have issued them

yeh, and if u fail to tell them when they ask, they'll still know, but just rub there hands together because they know you're givin them money for nothin, because if u need to claim they'll say no
