I was TPFT on my Corsa, FC on Vectra and now back to TPFT on Vectra.
£700 for my TPFT or i could've paid £900 for FC. £200 extra you might say, but then i had a £600 excess on the FC policy so that £800 out of my pocket straight away... So basically unless i wrote the car off myself, it was never going to be worth claiming through insurance.
£200 better off in my pocket than theirs and it has zero effect on my driving style or cautiousness...

Ill only insure a car TPFT if the car isnt worth much, £600 car, its not worth it due to the excess at the end of the day.

name me one insurance company that covers mods on FC competitively!
Look at my silver corsa, my red corsa, the gold, now the clio, the kit cars
Im only 20 and can get highly modified show cars insured FC on my own policy.

Seeing as my car is worth under £2k I don't see the point in going fully comp. If I had a crash and made a claim then I would be totally fucked anyway because I wouldn't be able to claim on the insurance because of how much the premium would go up.

this is true but if you crashed into someone else they would claim against you anyway

My Corsa is TPFT now at 400 quid, 700 for comp. Even if I bend it, it'll strip. It is a risk, but I can't afford to pay half the cars value every year.
Does make you drive better as well...
