Do you mean S40 T4 yeah??

If so i don't ever get above 23mpg even on the motorway, some ppl on volvo sites say they can get upto 35 on the motorway, not me....Quite steap on the petrol..

i'm going to soon be running twin 45's......i'm not expecting very good fuel consumption!! carbs just chuck the fuel in like theres no tomorrow

It's a popular myth the 40's/45's give you crap fuel economy, the truth is they'll give you excellent performance & economy as long as you get them set up correctly.

To many people buy 2nd hand carbs and just chuck them on and expect them to run well without setting up.

Spend some time at a knowledgable tuner/RR operator so he can optimize them for you.

Jets/chokes/emulsion tubes etc aint cheap but it'll be worth it in the end, the tuner dude may even part ex the bits you no longer need for the new bits you do.
