I've just bought a Corsa 1.2 16v as my first car, i want to put 17s on it but was wondering if they'd go straight on or would the arches need some work doin on them, also how much could I lower it on 17s? was planning 40mm.

If your looking 17inch alloys with minimal rubbing, you have to get the right offset.....i.e ET49
The offset on a Corsa is ET49, if you get a 17inch rim with this offset, and lowered 40mm you will have minimal rubbing if you even get any at all.....to be honest i dont think you will get any rubbing providing you get Offset ET49

Thats great! So i obviously wont have to have the arches cut or anything? with an offset between ET45-49 They'l go straight on?
