My mate has a Corsa 1.2 - in that orangey bronzy colour - don't know what its called.
Anyway, the speedo has stopped working, n also it doesn't record any mileage.
Plus the engine management (orange light bottom left of speedo is on).
Any idea's what could be causing these problems.

speedo cable snapped. The ecu reads speed input from the clocks, so if the cable snaps then it has no signal... hence the warning light

There's also a sensor called road speed sensor, its located beside where the cable goes into the gearbox. My was faulty b4 and the managment light would come on, caused the car not to idle properly and stall. Plus there's a good chance your speedo cable has snapped or has come off either at the gearbox end or the clocks end
