right im not that good with my mechanics but here goes. pulled up in a car park and turned it off, got back and the key turn would just spin the cam belt, wouldnt fire up or attempt to, sounded like it needed to catch hold of something but wasnt. so we tried to bumpstart it, and got metal on metal sound. next day my mechanic mate had a look and told me it had slipped a tooth on the cam belt. did a compression test and 0 compression on all . any ideas? think it will be cheaper to get a new lump as i can buy one for 300 quid all running fine, but answers to the board please lads!

if its slipped one tooth you may have escaped, no compression could be valves stuck open
