i've been in egypt too.. lol.. i almost got killed there, went on a boat trip on the nile and got shot at by people on the riverside.. and they locked me and my dad in a shop, wouldnt let us out until we bought something. your picking right dodgy places mate

all i remember is about 4 people shooting at the boat with rifles, shit myself... dodgiest places i've been are;

1. Egypt
2. Mexico
3. Philipines

in all 3 of those places i encountered violence or crime towards me.. i'm guessing you'll be safe enough if you go to the commercial holiday resorts though

I've been to cancun too and though it was excellent. Next time i want to go to moon palace as have heard good things about it. Agree with the comment on not doing it on a budget. Althought £600 sounds like a good deal. You have to pay a fee to leave the country aswell which you shouldn't forget. Think its about £40.
