With the HALIFAX you have to order 7 days before hand. Not sure on the amount before you have to give notice.

At HSBC the woman told me i could withdraw as much as they had in the safe. Shame i didn't have 100k in my account

Well all I needed was my cheque book and a form of ID so I used my driver licence - job done

i took 12k out of hsbc last month, with no notice at all. just walked in, wrote out a cheque, gave them my passport, and 5 minutes later it was in my bag

if they have the money availalbe then you can have it, otherwise ring them in the monring and they can get it by 4pm

i withdrew 5k the other day from natwest, they said no notice is needed but a form of id like a photcard drivers licesnse or summit
