Well I must admit it gets floored in every gear upto the limit none stop, but still, 35mpg and that's without taking it to high revs

27 was the worst, the second week I had it

I get about 30mpg in my 1.2 16v. It's better than the 8v, I remember my 8v being a very thirsty engine indeed. It barely got more than 200 miles on 45 litres. It was a 4 speed though.

I have never ran my 16v until the light comes on. I wonder if I could break the 350 mile barrier... I think it should be able to.

I get about 320 miles to a full tank.

The longer journey time you drive it for the more MPG you get because your engine warms up, whereas if you drive short distance the engine will be cold and you will have low MPG.

Last year at one point i was getting 250ish, but that turned out to be because i had a hole in the exhaust.

When I had one I got 300 miles to £30.

Not a bad engien at all - people slate them but I had not one bit of trouble with it

My GF got a 1.2 16v and is very nippy but she has had loads of trouble with it

For a first car you can't go wrong witha 1.2 8V
