Need a recommendation of a CCTV System. Mums car has had screws put in her tyres twice this week deliberately. Car was parked right outside the house too Needs to work in the dark and if possible need to record for a whole night so not sure how i would do this, or maybe a movement sensor so it records when there is movement?

wont stand a chance in court unless you advertise the fact your recording, something about invasion of privacy.

not aslong as its only recording your property.
We had this problem with my mums car getting keyed about 4 times in a month. If you want to prosecute using the tape then it needs to be colour. Get it in a visable place but out of reach (detterent) and it'll connect to a video that'll run for 48hrs (atleast) then start again.
Also, get a security light connected to a movement sensor so it gets a good recording.

the car is parked on a street directly outside the house so it probably won't be able to be used as evidence.

Im not sure of the rulings on it being used as evidence, a god CCTV firm would know about this.

Traditional (coaxial) CCTV can not solely be used as evidence in court only supporting evidence.
As still images are taken from a moving image, this stems back to the poor quality of these system 20 years ago and they have not amended the law.
More modern systems that take .jpg's every so often say 2 a second can be used as they are a still image to start with and the ruling of the law treats it as if you took the picture with a camera.

dont think you would need much more than the kit itself, it just plugs into you vcr then just record, but you will always have to reset the vidio every now and then
