yea its a brilliant sport. You dont need to own land to get a shotgun certificate, so long as you have a good reference, secure cabinet and no criminal record. Its easy just grab a form fill it out and a police guy will visit you to assess your attitiude towards them etc.
oh and try looking at www.basc.org.uk for more info OR search for: CPSA
winchester, beretta and browing are the most widely availbe for good money and good quality

I do the odd bit of clay pigeon shooting in the summer as Uncles are farmers and quite often have clay pigeon shooting events at their farms. I'm not too bad for an amatuer. Its good fun. Kick back off the shotgun is ace

yeah my dad taught me to shoot before i cud walk!!! Got loads of shotguns and a few rifles form when he was in the army. Licence is real easy to get and so go ahead before we all get banned from even touching a gun.
My dad got me my licence asap so that blair cud not take my gun away from me!!!

shotgun? lol try a .30-06 rifle. you know youve fired a gun when that goes off
And also make sure you get insured, BASC or CPSA or Countryside Alliance can sort you out for 20-50quid a year

Bought myself a Cometa 300S with the silencer, AGS Sapphire 3-9 x 40 mill dot scope, been up at my dads earlier setting up the scope on it but had to stop before it was right cos it was too damn cold to feel my hands!

Gonna go back there tomorrow to finish setting it up then go to my mates place out in the country to find us some rabbits
